What if following Jesus was never meant to feel like an exhausting checklist? In week 5 of our Brand New series, Pastors James Grogan and Chris Muller-Tabanera walk through Romans 7 and unpack the freedom we have because of Jesus. Through powerful stories, practical illustrations, and Paul’s teaching, this message reminds us that we are no longer bound to a system of rules—we are invited into a relationship of grace. Pastor James opens with the incredible true story of two East German families who risked everything to escape to freedom in a homemade hot air balloon. In the same way, Paul explains that through Jesus we’ve been transferred into a completely new reality: no longer living under the weight of the law, but under grace. Together, James and Chris explore what it means to live with a brand new freedom: • I’m no longer bound to a system; I am joined to a Savior. Jesus didn’t come to create another religious checklist. He came to invite us into a relationship. • I’m no longer bound to sin; I have a new Spirit that produces better fruit. Real transformation doesn’t happen by trying harder—it happens by surrendering more and allowing the Holy Spirit to change us from the inside out. • I’m no longer bound to the measuring stick of the law; Jesus fulfilled it. The law was never meant to prove we were good enough. It was meant to show us how much we need Jesus. This message is a reminder for anyone tired of striving, performing, or feeling like they never measure up. Because of Jesus, you don’t have to earn God’s love, prove your worth, or carry the pressure of perfection anymore. You can stop trying harder. You can surrender more. And you can live truly free. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to hear about the freedom and grace of Jesus. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Episode Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak Cover

Integrity Under Pressure | Kevin McPeak

Does integrity still matter when no one seems to notice, when the truth costs you, or when doing the right thing leads to the wrong outcome? In week 2 of our God Intended It For Good series, Kevin McPeak continues the story of Joseph in Genesis 39. After being betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, Joseph finds himself in Egypt, serving in Potiphar’s house. Even there, God is with Joseph, and Joseph continues to live with integrity under pressure. But when Potiphar’s wife falsely accuses him, Joseph’s integrity does not keep him from suffering. Instead, it lands him in prison. This message explores what Joseph’s story teaches us about living faithfully when integrity is tested: • Integrity doesn’t depend on my circumstances. Joseph decided in advance who he would be and where he would draw the line. He didn’t wait until pressure came to decide what mattered. • When we lack integrity, we often attack, blame, and twist the truth. Potiphar’s wife shows us how easily people can compromise the truth to protect themselves or settle a score. • Integrity comes with a cost. Doing the right thing doesn’t always mean people will understand, believe you, or treat you fairly. • Integrity speaks the truth but doesn’t seek revenge. Joseph doesn’t try to settle the score. He continues to be faithful and trusts God with the outcome. Joseph’s story also points us forward to Jesus, who was falsely accused, suffered unjustly, and maintained perfect integrity. Both Joseph and Jesus remind us that faithfulness to God may cost us, but God is still present, still working, and still writing the end of the story. If you are walking through a season where your character has been questioned, stories have been twisted, or doing the right thing has cost you, this message is a reminder: Maintain your integrity. Trust that God sees the truth. And believe that He is still writing your story. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs strength to keep doing the right thing. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Episode A New Future | James Grogan Cover

A New Future | James Grogan

What gives us hope when life hurts? In the final week of our Brand New series, Pastor James Grogan walks through the second half of Romans 8 and reminds us that suffering is real—but it is not the end of the story. Through one of the most powerful chapters in all of Scripture, we discover how followers of Jesus can live with unstoppable hope and unconquerable love, even in the middle of pain. Using the picture of a rope stretching endlessly into eternity, Pastor James challenges us to think beyond the short “green section” of our earthly lives and see our suffering through the perspective of eternity. Romans 8 reminds us that this life is temporary, but the promises of God are eternal. This message explores four powerful truths about what it means to live with A New Future in Christ: • Suffering is here now, yet I have hope something far better will be. Romans 8 points us toward the future restoration of all things. One day God will wipe away every tear, remove every pain, and fully redeem both creation and His people. • In my suffering I have help from God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are never abandoned in our pain. The Holy Spirit helps us in weakness, Jesus intercedes for us, and the Father remains for us even when life feels heavy and uncertain. • God works for my good, even in suffering, by making me like Christ. Romans 8:28 is not a promise that everything is good—but that God can bring good even from painful things by shaping us into the image of Jesus. • My victory in Christ is certain because God’s love never fails. Nothing—not suffering, fear, death, failure, hardship, or loss—can separate us from the love of God found in Christ Jesus. Pastor James also speaks honestly and compassionately about grief, loss, disappointment, and the reality of suffering in this broken world. This is not a “just move on” message—it’s a reminder that Jesus meets us in our pain and gives us a hope bigger than our circumstances. If you are walking through suffering, uncertainty, or discouragement, this message is a reminder: The best is still ahead. God has not abandoned you. And nothing can separate you from His love. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs hope today. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. Episode A New Power | James Grogan Cover

A New Power | James Grogan

What if the Christian life was never meant to be lived in your own strength? In week 7 of our Brand New series, Pastor James Grogan walks through the powerful truths of Romans 8—one of the most hope-filled and life-changing chapters in all of Scripture. Often called “The Everest of the New Testament,” Romans 8 reminds us what is now true because of Jesus and what it means to live with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastor James revisits the journey through Romans and shows how Paul has been building toward this incredible reality: Because of Jesus, we are no longer condemned, controlled by sin, or separated from God—we are brand new. This message unpacks four life-changing truths for every follower of Jesus: • I have a new verdict because I’m in Christ. “There is now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Through Jesus, our guilty verdict has been removed and replaced with grace, freedom, and forgiveness. • I have a new mindset because the Spirit is changing me. Paul contrasts the mindset of the flesh—self-will, self-glory, self-gratification—with the mindset of the Spirit, which leads to life, peace, humility, and transformation. • I have a new power because the Spirit is in me. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in every believer. We are no longer powerless against sin or temptation because God’s Spirit empowers us to live differently. • I have a new identity because I’m adopted into God’s family. God didn’t reluctantly accept us—He chose us, adopted us, and made us His children. Our identity is now rooted in His love, grace, and presence. Pastor James reminds us that the Christian life is not about trying harder—it’s about surrendering more fully to the Holy Spirit. If you’ve ever struggled with shame, insecurity, temptation, or feeling spiritually stuck, this message is a reminder: You are not condemned. You are not alone. And you are not powerless. ––––– If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs hope and freedom today. ––––– ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast.
