Fearless and Fabulous
In this episode, we’re exploring what it means to be the strong friend. For many of us, strength becomes part of our identity. We identify as the encouragers, caregivers, and dependable ones who carry more than most people realize. Sometimes, that strength can also show up as hyper-independence—the belief that we have to handle everything on our own, ask for little, and carry burdens in silence. But even the strong friend needs support. In this episode, I share lessons I’ve been learning about vulnerability, trust, receiving love, and allowing myself to be seen beyond the role of “the strong one.” We’ll talk about: * Why vulnerability can feel uncomfortable * The hidden weight of always pouring into others * How hyper-independence can keep us from receiving the support we need * How to identify and communicate your needs * Why your needs are valid * The connection between control, guardedness, and trust * How journaling can deepen self-understanding * Why love isn’t only meant to flow through you—it should flow to you, too My hope is that this episode encourages you to release the pressure of having it all together, let go of the belief that you must do everything alone, and embrace the beauty of being fully human.
