Beschreibung

By the time this episode airs, I’ll be just shy of 13 months without a drink. For a long time, I thought alcohol was helping me relax, have fun, and care less about what other people thought. Looking back, I don’t think alcohol was the problem. I think my relationship with my emotions was. In this episode, I share why I stopped drinking, the role shame played in that decision, what sobriety has taught me about self-trust, and the surprising realization that many of the things I thought alcohol gave me were already there all along. This isn’t an anti-alcohol conversation. It’s a conversation about getting honest with yourself, learning how to sit with difficult emotions, and discovering that the person you’ve been trying to escape might actually be someone worth getting to know. If this episode resonates with you, subscribe, like, and share it with someone who might need to hear it. 💛 Rachel

Episode 37 | Can Someone Love You and Still Disappoint You?

For a long time, I would’ve thought the answer was no. If someone truly loved you, wouldn’t they know what you needed? Wouldn’t they know how to show up? In this episode, I’m sharing a personal story about my parents, what I’ve learned about expectations, communication, and why disappointment doesn’t always mean a lack of love. We talk about: 💛 Expecting people to love us the way we would 💛 Why awareness doesn’t automatically equal healing 💛 Communicating needs instead of expecting mind-reading 💛 How love and disappointment can exist in the same relationship 💛 The lessons people leave behind if we’re willing to pay attention Because sometimes the people who love us the most still let us down. And if we’re being honest, we’ve probably done the same. If this episode resonated with you, follow the podcast, leave a review, and share it with someone who might need to hear it.

Episode 36 | Reciprocity - Where'd You Go?

This episode is probably going to ruffle some feathers. Everywhere you look there’s content telling men what they should do for women. Provide. Protect. Create emotional safety. Communicate. Be patient. And a lot of that is valid. But somewhere along the way the conversation stopped being about healthy relationships and started being about one person doing all the giving while the other does all the receiving. That’s not reciprocity. That’s an arrangement. In this episode Rachel Lee gets into what reciprocity actually means in real relationships, why we model relationships more than we teach them, why emotional safety needs to go both ways, and why if you don’t want someone you need to let them heal. This one is honest. Direct. And worth the conversation. Follow the podcast. Leave a review. Share it with someone who needed to hear it. ✨ Coaching | Ways to connect:figuringitoutwithrachel.com [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbWViMGNmdDlOS05ad3hralhoQ0xlVWRlX1JoUXxBQ3Jtc0trWGJEWnBlUnpsX1U1M2hudWFNams5QXhiMi0xQ1V6LUNfYTZ0UWNEMUkybmpBSnE0UzJwazd5dUVfcTNwdHpXSjBfT2FYSXFvaTVrRWZfNUVIbWNwLWk0RjN4NWtTVXgwdjlfeHdVd0VHdUdrNkdMTQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Ffiguringitoutwithrachel.com]

Episode 35 | The Good Things - Remembering What Helped Us Too

When people hear the hard parts of someone’s story, it’s easy to assume that’s the whole story. But what about the good things? In this episode, I’m talking about the memories, people, communities, traditions, and experiences that shaped me in positive ways. From Christmas luminaries and homemade donuts with my Grammy to volunteer firefighters, lifelong friendships, and raising my boys, this is a conversation about remembering that not everything that made us who we are came from pain. Because yes, hard things happened. But they were never the whole story. Sometimes healing also means remembering the good things. ✨ Coaching | Ways to connect: figuringitoutwithrachel.com [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqblQ2ZnpuWi1XT0I0TTliR0tXQmhkN2xLRXQ4d3xBQ3Jtc0tsRnlXMHIteGpfeHVfYkVwbDhka2dUdzg2d01kTkFtaHhSOXlFVm5iNGZfbFhZMHVFbVZzSGJjNWt4Q09oZW9oYU1fbTNPZHduS1RCYTY1WXZTVFB0QndGaXpEYWlJQkotM1hjbUNiQjZINHA4MHA1Zw&q=https%3A%2F%2Ffiguringitoutwithrachel.com]
