Zephaniah

Zephaniah may be three chapters long, but it is one of the clearest pictures of the day of the Lord in all of Scripture. Pastor Andrew walks through this often overlooked minor prophet, tracing God's warning of judgment on Judah and the surrounding nations, the call to seek the Lord before it's too late, and the beautiful promise of restoration in chapter three, where God rejoices over His people with singing. What does it look like to be a Godly husband? Pastor Andrew unpacks 1 Peter 3:7, showing that a husband's greatest ministry begins at home, not at work. He walks through what it means to submit to your wife, to dwell with her according to knowledge, to honor her as a treasured "weaker vessel," and to lead her spiritually as a fellow heir of God's grace. In Matthew 7:21-29, He describes two professions and two builders, exposing the difference between empty religious activity and genuine, obedient faith. As America marks 250 years of independence, this message compares the freedom our nation offers to the far greater liberty found in Jesus Christ. Drawing from Luke 4, where Jesus reads Isaiah's prophecy in the synagogue and declares it fulfilled, this study looks at how spiritual freedom costs infinitely more than any earthly liberty, how it must be guarded against compromise, and why it was never meant to serve self alone. A call to remember that political freedom can be lost, but the liberty found in Christ is eternally secure, and worth sharing with those still in bondage to sin.
