(00:37) What is your middle name? (4:35) Question of the Day:  If you could instantly become an expert in one thing, what would you want it to be? (11:27) Off Topic Topic: Will Currier - Youth Area Update (17:05) Discussion & Member Questions: Let’s recap what we covered on Sunday just to remind everyone what it was about 1. (22:57) How do we balance the “meaningless repetitions” in our prayer with Jesus’s parable about the unrighteousness judge and how he instructs us to cry out to him day and night? Insinuating that petitioning God over and over again does have a direct effect on God answering us. 2. (25:03) I was raised Catholic and taught that the way to pray is by saying scripted prayers, often being the Lord’s Prayer, as you spoke about this week, and also the Catholic rosary repeating this and other scripted prayers (AKA: the Hail Mary that is not found in scripture) word for word, often done in group settings. What are the benefits to the practice of reciting scripted prayers, alone and in a group? 3. (29:02) is there a misunderstanding between our feelings and the heart? 4. (30:26) The will can act apart from the temperature of the heart” - Is it possible to fully forgive without feeling that forgiveness at all? 5. (35:05) Let’s talk more about vv. 14-15.  6. (42:55) The sixth request “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil” seems like it contradicts James 1:13 “Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone”- can we talk about how to think about temptation? 7. (46:50) The passage talks about those praying out in public because they want to be seen. What about those on the opposite extreme who never want to pray in public and avoid it as much as possible? (58:07) Celebration: Youth

Episode 63 | Abram is Here! Acting Challenge, Area Update, Marriage, & Divorce

(3:34) Question of the Day:  Have you ever been in a play? (7:33) “Okay, Wow” Challenge (12:58) Off Topic Topic: Abram Ebersohn - Area Update (20:09) Discussion & Member Questions: Let’s recap what we covered on Sunday just to remind everyone what it was about 1. (25:49) How challenging was this topic to tackle with there being so many nuances and various contexts people are listening from? 2. (31:00) We are really enjoying y’alls church. We’re moving here from Texas. I would like to have clarification. When you talked about people born eunuchs, you said it could mean people born with same sex attraction. Does that mean you think people are born gay? 3. (35:15) My question is, since Jesus’ answer to the pharisees in Matt. 5:31-32 was not an exhaustive list, but only one example, then how do we know that there aren’t more than the three exceptions to remarriage (porneia, abandonment, and death) given on Sunday? 4. (40:22) Could we spend a little more time talking about abuse with this idea of divorce? 5. (45:02) What level of sexual immorality is valid for divorce? Are there levels? 6.
