Beschreibung

This week's reading: Psalm 78:1-8 Have you ever considered your walk with Jesus as a quest, a long and perhaps difficult journey towards a goal? In fact, this word, quest, diving back into Latin and early English, describes an intentional seeking, perhaps for wisdom, knowledge, or even a great prize. All of these connotations are present in our walk with Jesus, this long and sometimes challenging journey following our Lord through this life with our eyes and hope on the kingdom that is to come. This journey, or quest, is known to Christians as discipleship. This Lenten season, we’ll be spending our Sunday mornings considering what it looks like to be disciples of Jesus. Over five weeks, we’ll examine aspects of discipleship from various places in scripture, including Jesus’ life and the lives of his disciples. Along the way, we’ll answer questions like, “What is discipleship?”, “How do we follow Jesus in difficult seasons?”, “What does discipleship look like across generations?”, and “How does personal discipleship influence how we share the Gospel with others?”We hope you’ll join us for this series and beyond as we seek to understand this quest that we are on with Jesus!
