Exciting events are coming to homeschoolers this year! The HSOK Leadership Summit is this fall (Oct 23-24), Capitol Day is February 2, and we are having a state homeschool convention in 2027 on June 4-5. Not only that, but in 2027 we are also launching a homeschool film festival!

Legislative Update for 2026

In this episode we are going to cover the status of various bills we are tracking relating to homeschooling in the 2026 legislative session, as well as talk about Homeschool Oklahoma’s general approach to legislation. What makes a good bill and what do we want out of the legislative process? We will talk about how Homeschool Oklahoma is working with legislators to get better bills passed that promote fairness for all students without putting homeschooling freedom at risk.
