Episode #171 - Bob Kevoian Cover

#171 - Bob Kevoian

With loving memory of Bob Kevoian, we take a deep look into the JBK On Air vault with one of the proudest moments of my career both then and now. I was fortunate enough to interview National Radio Hall of Fame member Bob Kevoian of The Bob & Tom Show for my morning show Casual Friday as a student at the University of Indianapolis. This was a dream come true for me to talk to a true legend in the radio business and someone who left his mark on Indianapolis as a cultural institution. I also had a personal connection with Bob who gave my father Chooch Kennedy a national platform to showcase his talent as a musician. Throughout my life Bob encouraged my broadcasting ambitions, providing kind words, equipment, as well as the time to talk to him on my show. He was larger than life, teaching me the importance of being in the moment and letting others shine is the true magic of radio as a medium. My heart is heavy and aches for everyone who misses him. But having recordings to look back on and smile through is what I choose to be grateful for now. Thank you for loving me Bob with your light, humor, and honesty. I am truly humbled and overjoyed to have been your friend! - Jimmy
