Episode 165: What does it mean to be In Christ?, Part 2 - Forgiveness and Acceptance

What does it mean to be "In Christ"?, Part 2 - Forgiveness and Acceptance For those who might have missed the first installment in this series, we are discussing 6 layers of what it means to be in Christ. Last week we discussed Being “in Christ” means your identity is no longer defined primarily by your past, failures, or status, but by your relationship with Him. Christians believe you become a “new creation”—your life is reset (reboot) at a spiritual level. The word in means origin (the point where it all begins; then what happens after that). It also means set at one again (one mind). This episode we are discussing #2 Union and relationship and #3 Forgiveness and Acceptance. Watch us on YouTube Kingdom Building 2.0

Episode 163: The Institutionalized Jesus Verses the Real Jesus

The Institutionalized Jesus Verses the Real Jesus Think back when you first started hearing about Jesus, there seems to be a dichotomy regarding who Jesus really is and why he was sent to earth. There is outward Jesus that walked the earth over 2 thousand years ago and mankind decided to organize a religion after him (the man-made Jesus) and we have been taught for many years about him, then there is the inner Jesus (Christ in you) is being revealed to us and in us layer by layer. So, we must distinguish between what we were taught about Jesus and what we were told to believe about him and the Jesus that Holy Spirit has awakened us to see and experience. By the time of the council of Nicaea in the 4th century, orthodox Christianity had begun to solidify. A cannon was forming, a narrative was being shaped, and anything that challenged that structure was labeled heresy. Typically, folks don’t question the structure of the system set up by the so-called experts. We are here today to provoke awareness and to question the institution that was set up millennials ago.  What if the truth they hid just about Jesus but was about you? The difference between the institutional Jesus and the real Jesus; one points outward and the other points inward. One builds a path based on belief, structure and authority. The other opens a path of awareness, discovery and transformation. Which one seems more real and exciting to you? These 2 visions are not necessarily in conflict. They represent 2 different stages of understanding. The external path can guide and provide structure. It can introduce meaning, however the inner path transforms. It dissolves illusion and can reveal what cannot be taught only realized.
