In a shocking turn of events, the Luigi Mangione defense team has withdrawn the extreme emotional disturbance (EED) plea a single day after filing it with the state court in New York. It's hard to tell at this point what lead to this change but it was clearly not an ideal sequence of events for the Mangione defense team. Luigi Mangione did it. At least this is what we can assume as his defense team refocuses their efforts to a present an "extreme emotional disturbance" defense in his state case.
