This week, we focus in a little on David's personal motto:  "instructions are optional."  We look at a handful of examples that shows David's refusal to allow instructional pages or directions to tell him what to do.  We break down what can happen when we decide to ignore the instructions, including making things increasingly more difficult for yourself.  We hear talk more about a topic that is popular among us.  "Dave be Different"  and Alicia talks about witnessing this specific Dave be Different moment live and in person.  In this episode, David nearly adopts a new motto. The Ring Is Gone!

In this week's episode, we talk about the emotional weight we place on things. This week, Alicia and David talk about influence again but with a little twist. We look into the importance of monitoring the influence that other things have on your life.  David and Alicia remember people and examples in their own lives that have shown positive influence just by the way that people live their life.  David and Alicia discuss the difference that 1 degree of bad influence can have in your life.   From "Lord of the Rings" references to real-life circumstances, David and Alicia breakdown the ways people (and things) can have influence, often unintentionally. Sourdough Era

In this weeks episode, we talk about sourdough.  And in true Alicia fashion, she finds an awesome way to tie the process that sourdough takes and apply it to our lives. Just like sourdough, life takes patience.  Allow God to work in you what he wants.  "Stop and smell the roses" comes to mind as David breaks down the thought of applying this process to his own life.   This episode truly is a glimpse into what we talk about around our table.  Its biblical, nerdy and completely acceptable for a gluten free diet! Failure Doesn't Cancel Calling

In this longer-than-normal episode, we learn that God can love us far beyond our failures.  We discuss Peter and his denial of Jesus and Jesus loving Peter anyway.  We give a detailed look into David's testimony, specifically how despite his best efforts, he could not disqualify himself from God's love for him or the plans God set in motion when he was just 15 years old.   We look at God forming both Peter and David in the darkest of times by setting pride aside and becoming dependent on God.  Alicia and David talk about the importance of having honest people who mean well surround you and allowing God to give you boldness to do what He wants you to do.
