Beschreibung

Joshua Idehen is a British-Nigerian poet and musician who released his much-anticipated debut album 'I Know You’re Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try' in March 2026 on Heavenly Recordings. In this episode Joshua talks about his early life with his dad owning a video store, growing up between Hackney and Nigeria and returning to London in his teenage years. He details former projects that led him to making this music, meeting and developing his sound with his writing partner producer Ludvig Parment, moving to Stockholm for love and how leaving London was a matter of life or death. The new album is so uplifting and he details what made him set out to make the most positive music, channeling grief, shame and low times into a sure fire bop! I hope you enjoy this conversation.
