For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. —Hebrews 12:3–11 God’s GOODNESS doesn’t always feel GOOD. Wisdom: It’s a compound Hebrew word that literally means to have a listening heart. > “I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.” —1 Kings 3:12 Vs. 2-3 “for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; To do what is right, just and fair” Fear God:  (With Awe, Reference & Trust) Vs. 7- “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” > “The fear of the Lord isn’t about terror—it’s about recognizing His magnificent supremacy and finding my proper place in relationship with Him. Instead of anxiety, I’ve found wisdom; instead of dread, I’ve discovered His delight in me.” —Krystal Ribble- Esther Press“For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.” —John 5:20 A Morning Prayer  All knowing God. This is your day. You give and take away. This life is a gift . Help me to live in fear and wonder of you today. Give me your wisdom as I make choices today. Amen. Listen to Wise Mom’s and Dad’s (Mentors) Vs. 8-9:  “Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.” Wisdom is ready and waiting to be received. God has not hidden it from us. Vs. 20-21  “Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech” Wisdom is the answer to our anxiousness Vs. 33  “But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.” Takeaway:  1. Fear (Awe) God- (every morning)  2. Listen to your godly others  3. Be at ease
