At The CENTER with Lou Trapani, Lou and Rachel sit down with the Director, Rena Gavigan, and Producer, Dorothy Penz, to talk about the upcoming Rhinebeck Theatre Society production of The Prom! When the PTA from Edgewater, Indiana cancels the senior prom in order to block a lesbian student from bringing her date, four New York stars in search of a cause swoop in to save the day. A new musical comedy “so filled with happiness that you think your heart is about to burst” (Variety). The Prom opens Friday July 7th and runs through July 23rd! Episode 2 - Fiddler on the Roof!

In this episode of Live! At The CENTER with Lou Trapani, media coordinator Rachel Karashay takes over as guest host and sits down with Fiddler on the Roof cast members Wendy Urban-Mead and Mark Grunblatt, as well as assistant director Kelsey Wertheim, to dive into the history of the show and their production. The conversation touches on the hardships the Jewish community faced during the time period of the show, and how similar struggles are still relevant today, with other cultures facing discrimination and displacement. Mark, who works with immigration law, brings a unique perspective to the conversation as he sees new families going through similar struggles.
