Barriers to the Beach: Part One, 35 Years of ADA – Who are the Beaches for?

Cape Cod's crown jewels, it's beaches, attract millions of visitors to the Cape every year. However, these waters are just out of reach for many would-be-beach-goers who are unable to enjoy this core piece of the Cape. As the Americans With Disabilities Act turns 35 years this July we, a group of reporters, set out in the height of Cape Cod's humid summer season, to look into who can actually access these profitable recreational pleasures. This is the first episode in our ongoing reporting series Barriers To The Beach.

The Healing Community of Cape Cod

12 June, 2025 – ORLEANS, MA – Cheryl Martin, herbalist in Orleans, summoned the healing community from all over Cape Cod to the Healing Arts Festival Cape Cod. Cheryl says lives were changed and a new tradition has been born.

Six Tornado Rescue Dogs Arrive in Brewster

12 June 2025 – BREWSTER, MA – Six dogs from tornado-battered St. Louis arrived at the Animal Rescue of Boston's Brewster shelter. LCTV visited with two-year-old Fred Christmas, and learned more about the network that brought these pups to Massachusetts.

Three World Premieres Coming to WHAT This Summer

13 June, 2025 - WELLFLEET, MA - The Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) plans to premiere three plays on Cape Cod this summer. Each play draws from a true story and two are by local playwrights. Christopher Ostrom, the producing artistic director of WHAT, shared a brief summary of what the audience can expect.
