Sent to interview the oldest woman in Thither, Mage Doughball finds a house suspended in time. Tucked between skyscrapers, untouched by progress, and very much not as empty as it first appears. As creaking floorboards, whispering shadows, and a strangely open diary begin to pile up, Doughball learns that some places don’t stay quiet out of politeness. He came looking for answers. But some questions ask you back.
