Beschreibung

Have you ever found yourself wondering if God is still working while you’re waiting? In today’s episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about faith, waiting, and trusting God through seasons that didn’t make sense. Over the years, I’ve discovered that every believer eventually reaches a crossroads—a place where faith stops being something we talk about and becomes something we choose. It’s the moment when we must decide whether we’ll continue trusting God even when we don’t understand what He’s doing, or allow disappointment and doubt to pull us away from His promises. Together, we’ll look at Psalm 27:13-14 and Hebrews 11:1 as we talk about what it means to trust God when the answer hasn’t arrived yet and why some of the greatest growth in our faith often happens while we’re waiting. If you’ve ever felt weary while waiting on an answer to prayer, I hope this episode encourages you to keep trusting, keep believing, and keep looking to Jesus. One Year Later: What God Has Taught Me Through Makin’ Macon

This week is a special one. Not only is the Makin’ Macon podcast celebrating its first birthday, but Makin’ Macon itself is turning three years old. In this reflective episode, I share what God has taught me through blogging, podcasting, ministry, and simply showing up in obedience one step at a time. From recording that very first podcast episode with a simple clip-on microphone to learning that ministry often happens in ordinary places, this episode is a look back at God’s faithfulness through small beginnings. In this episode, we’ll talk about: 💛 Why obedience often looks smaller than we expect 💛 The freedom that comes from leaving the results in God’s hands 💛 How God uses ordinary moments for ministry 💛 Why small beginnings matter more than we realize 💛 The encouragement found in comments, emails, and messages from listeners and readers 💛 What God has taught me about faithfulness over the last three years Scripture referenced: 📖 Zechariah 4:10 Whether you’ve been listening since Episode 1 or you’re joining us for the very first time, I hope this episode reminds you that God is still working through small acts of obedience and that no step taken in faith is ever wasted. 🖥️ Read more encouragement on the blog: 👉 https://makinmacon.com [https://makinmacon.com] 📬 Get weekly encouragement delivered to your inbox:  👉  Sign Up Here [https://dashboard.mailerlite.com/forms/1240824/141889165131253664/share] 🎙️ New episodes every other week 📲 Connect with me: • Instagram: @makin_macon [https://www.instagram.com/makin_macon?igsh=M3pmcHRyb3l3cmJu&utm_source=qr] • Facebook: Makin’ Macon [https://www.facebook.com/share/1GH1TJkjZp/?mibextid=wwXIfr] • Pinterest: @makinmacon [https://pin.it/2MXh4LahV] • TikTok: @makin.macon [https://www.tiktok.com/@makin.macon?_r=1&_t=ZT-93305mLwlpt] 🔗 All links: https://linktr.ee/MakinMacon [https://linktr.ee/MakinMacon] ✨ And remember… I’m always praying for you — even if I don’t know who you are.

What Your Life Is Producing: When Fruit Reveals the Heart

What does your life produce when pressure shows up? In this episode of Makin’ Macon: Encouragement in Chaos, we continue the conversation about the Fruit of the Spirit by exploring how our words, attitudes, and reactions often reveal what is growing beneath the surface. Using a funny story about my son’s strong opinions on grapes, I shares how fruit reveals what it truly is—and how our spiritual fruit often reveals the condition of our hearts. In this episode, we’ll talk about: 🍇 Why fruit reveals the root 🍇 What comes out when life squeezes us 🍇 The difference between conviction and condemnation 🍇 Why the Fruit of the Spirit is one fruit with many characteristics 🍇 How staying connected to Christ produces lasting fruit Scriptures referenced: 📖 Matthew 7:16 📖 Psalm 139:23-24 📖 Galatians 5:22-23 📖 John 15 Whether you’re seeing evidence of growth or discovering areas where God is still working, this episode is a reminder that spiritual fruit doesn’t come from trying harder—it comes from staying connected to the Vine.

Episode The Fruit Doesn't Grow Overnight: Learning to Trust God's Process Cover

The Fruit Doesn't Grow Overnight: Learning to Trust God's Process

Have you ever felt discouraged because spiritual growth seems slower than you expected? In this episode of Makin’ Macon: Encouragement in Chaos, I share a personal story about pruning my grandmother’s beloved rose bushes and the unexpected lesson it taught me about the Fruit of the Spirit. We often pray for patience, peace, faith, and strength, but God usually develops those qualities through the very situations we would rather avoid. Just as roots grow beneath the surface before fruit ever appears, God is often doing His deepest work in seasons when it feels like nothing is happening. In this episode, we’ll talk about: 🌱 Why spiritual growth doesn’t happen overnight 🌱 The difference between fruit and fruits in Galatians 5 🌱 Why God often grows roots before He produces fruit 🌱 How trials help develop patience, peace, and faith 🌱 Learning to trust God’s process even when growth feels slow Scriptures referenced: 📖 Galatians 5:22-23 📖 Hebrews 5:13-14 📖 Philippians 1:6 If you’ve ever felt frustrated with where you are in your walk with God, this episode is a reminder that growth takes time and God is still working, even when you can’t yet see the fruit.
