Beschreibung

Serving God is an honorable and exciting life. Let's set the record straight, it is not an easy life. If you don't believe me just look at the life of Paul, Moses or for that matter, Jesus. There is a saying - "Give God your YES". Of course, obedience to God is at the heart of all that we believe. Many say yes to God with little understanding of the cost. Many approach their "yes", with an idealism rooted in ignorance instead of an understanding of sacrifice, faithfulness and the keeping power of God. There is nothing like serving God! There is nothing like walking in obedience to the call that God has placed on our life. It is powerful. It is an adventure. It is full of God's blessing and grace. It is not without its challenges, pain and frustration. Today we are going to look at the Peril Principle. Not to scare anyone but to take a realistic look at what it truly means to serve God and to live our lives as a living sacrifice.

Episode Episode 79 Vanity Cover

Episode 79 Vanity

Vanity, in one way or another our society is driven by this. Social media posts, clicks, likes, follows, hearts. If we are not careful, we can all become vain. I would submit that this is a huge struggle for many of us. You would think that once you leave middle school our need for attention and affirmation from others would fade. In many ways this increases. In a world that demands us to be "successful" even those of us filled with the Spirit of God can be tempted to seek the approval of man. Even the wisest of men who accomplished so much with his life realized that being driven by "things" is all vanity. A chasing after the wind. At the heart of all of this is pride. This podcast will take us deep into some things that all of us deal with. It will be thought provoking, introspective and hopefully revealing.

Episode 78 Strongholds

There is a saying that says - "A stronghold is not a demon sitting on your shoulder; it is a lie sitting in your logic." Strongholds were originally built as a place of safety. They were a strongly built fortress or a castle where people would be free from the dangers of an advancing enemy. A stronghold was a position of strength, an impenetrable place where people could recover and defend easily. The Bible tells us to never give the devil a foothold. He will take that foothold and make it a stronghold. What was meant to give us peace and protection is now turned into a prison of doubt, fear, vulnerability and uncertaintyThe Bible reminds us that God is our refuge and strength. He is our place of safety, protection and certainty. He is our fortress and strong tower. I am looking forward to spending the next few moments with you. I believe that you will be encouraged.

Episode Episode 77 Spiritual Rain Cover

Episode 77 Spiritual Rain

We know that Rain is often a symbol of the work of the Holy Spirit. We equate the Rain of the Holy Spirit with Revival. We call it the outpouring of God. The prophet Joel prophesied that God would pour out His Spirit on all people and he showed us what it would look like. I believe we will see an incredible outpouring of the in our days. I believe that it has already begun. The Lord gave me a prophetic word that I want to share today. This podcast will be a little bit different. We cry out for revival. We say we want the rain of the Spirit and the reign of the Holy Spirit. We forget that in order for there to be rain there must be clouds. I believe that the revival we are crying out for will look different than anything that we have seen in the past. If you are seeking the face of God. If you desire to see God move in our nation this podcast will stir your spirit.

Episode Episode 76 Worry Cover

Episode 76 Worry

Worry is a five-letter word that impacts all of our lives. All of us deal with worry on some level or another. Some of us deal with it in one area of our live and some of us have made worry a way of life. People love to make slogans that create a great sound bite, but I think do more harm than good. "Be a winner not a worrier, why worry when you can worship, be a warrior not a worrier". I understand the intent, but I think that is like holding a drowning person under water in the hopes of making them resilient. Many people are dealing with legitimate struggles and very real fears. When Jesus speaks to us about worry He doesn't chastise, He offers reassurance and logical conclusions. His teaching offers us hope, help and kindness that drives out fear and promises provision. I think you are going to find this podcast encouraging.
