Midnight Movie Distillery
Welcome back to Midnight Movie Distillery where we watch the movies you've heard about… and drink the whiskey that helps us appreciate where horror came from. Tonight we're reviewing Trilogy of Terror — Dan Curtis's 1975 made-for-TV anthology, three Richard Matheson stories, all starring Karen Black, all aired on ABC as a Movie of the Week. Two segments you may not remember. One segment you absolutely do: "Amelia," a woman alone in her apartment trying to survive a Zuni fetish doll that has come to life. Fifty-one years later, that ten-inch knife-wielding warrior is still one of the most-imitated villains in horror — even if the rest of the movie has aged less gracefully. Paired with it: Widow Jane Decadence Bourbon Finished in Maple Syrup Casks — a bourbon that turned a niche finish into something we kept coming back to in the glass. So pour yourself something strong… check that the gold chain is still on the doll… and let's see whether 1975 horror still earns its place on the shelf. ▬ Contents of this video ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Intro 02:30 - Alcohol Review 09:55 - Alcohol Barrel Rating 27:25 - Movie Review 29:16 - Movie Barrel Rating 59:25 - Outro ▬ Midnight Movie Distillery — watch it, drink it, rate it ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ All our horror + whiskey reviews: midnightmoviedistillery.com #midnightmoviedistillery #podcaster #podcasts #horrorpodcast #horrorjunkie #horrormovie #horrorfan #horror #horrormovies #classichorror #70shorror #trilogyofterror #dancurtis #darkshadows #richardmatheson #karenblack #zunidoll #amelia #abcmovieoftheweek #anthologyhorror #whiskey #whisky #whiskeylife #whiskeytasting #bourbon #bourbonreview #widowjane #widowjanedecadence #maplebourbon #brooklynbourbon
