Mighty Oaks Daily Devotional
Psalm 106 tells the repeated story of Israel’s failure—and God’s relentless mercy. Time after time, the people forgot God’s faithfulness, turned away from Him, and suffered the consequences of their choices. Yet the psalm declares, “Nevertheless, he regarded their affliction when he heard their cry.” Even after countless acts of rebellion, God remained willing to forgive, restore, and deliver those who turned back to Him. This is an encouraging reminder for every believer: no matter how far you have wandered, you are never beyond the reach of God’s grace. That does not give us permission to continue living in sin, but it does assure us that when we genuinely repent, God is faithful to forgive and restore. If you feel weighed down by past failures or convinced that you've gone too far, remember the story of Israel. God’s mercy is greater than your mistakes, and His desire is always to bring His children back into a right relationship with Him.
