In this episode I talk about how mindfulness can help us drop the made up self that we have created. The notion is self is not one solid self that we unconsciously hold in our minds.

By practising mindfulness we use a gentle approach to train the mind. We don't use force or try and arrest the mind but we cultivate awareness by being gentle and with an attitude of curiosity.

The awareness and resilience we build in our mindfulness meditation can help us deal with challenging times in our life. The awareness of thoughts and emotions built in the meditation can help us manage and regulate strong emotions and respond to situations with choice

Understanding the true nature of our thoughts, feelings and perceptions helps us realise that it is possible to have freedom from the mind by cultivating higher awareness
