Mindfulness with Mister Chuck
Mister Chuck (Chuck Hartman) leads children in a gratitude-centered mindfulness exercise. Mister Chuck invites children and their ‘special adult’ (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sitter, et cetera) to join him in this exercise. Mindfulness meditation is a mental exercise that helps slow racing thoughts and calms both your mind and body. Today’s mindfulness exercise will help children learn how to narrow their focus to one thought of thankfulness. The exercise can be replicated at home, and the gratitude theme can be replaced with what is most meaningful to you or your child. The focus of this meditation is to narrow many thoughts down to one.
