From follow up texts and random phone calls to friendships built in complete chaos, this episode is about the difference between simply catching up and actually feeling connected. A conversation about weird energy, millennial friendships, grief, growth, voice memos, nervous systems, and the people who still feel like home when life gets loud. Episode 41 Years, 120 Miles & My Dad Cover

41 Years, 120 Miles & My Dad

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1780456/fan_mail/new] For Father's Day, I'm sharing a story that's been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad has raced the AuSable River Canoe Marathon [https://www.ausablecanoemarathon.org/about/] for 41 years. I've raced it twice.. both times with him. While this episode takes you inside one of the toughest endurance events you've probably never heard of, this story isn't really about canoe racing. It's about fathers and daughters, family traditions, grief, perspective, and the memories we don't realize we're making while we're living them. From running the Mio Dam portage as a kid, to racing alongside my dad after losing my mom, I'm reflecting on the people who shape us, the traditions that raise us, and how our perspective changes with time. As a bonus coincidence, this is Episode 41 of Navigating Between the Lines.. and this summer marks my dad's 41st start in the AuSable River Canoe Marathon. Happy Father's Day to all the dads, father figures, and families celebrating this weekend. The Pressure to Optimize Everything (Especially Your Health)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1780456/fan_mail/new] How did taking care of ourselves become so complicated? One minute we're talking about sleep. The next we're comparing magnesium supplements, cortisol levels, protein intake, fasting schedules, blood work, weighted vests, and whatever health trend showed up on Instagram this week. Somewhere along the way, health became another thing many of us feel like we need to get right. This week, I'm talking about sleep, stress, aging, grief, wellness trends, and the pressure to optimize everything, especially our health. Because I don't think most of us are actually chasing perfect routines. I think we're chasing energy, confidence, peace, and a life we're excited to wake up and live. A conversation about feeling good, trusting yourself, and remembering to enjoy your life while you're busy trying to improve it. Would love to hear from you!  [https://www.instagram.com/navigatingbetweenthelines/] Support the show [https://buymeacoffee.com/nbtl]

The Golden Ages

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1780456/fan_mail/new] School is out, the summer calendar is full, and lately I can't stop thinking about one thing.. What is it that we miss so much about summer? This week I'm talking about 90s summers, Camp Nowhere, baseball games, childhood memories, and why I think we're living in what I like to call the golden ages right now. The years we'll miss someday. I also share a story about my mom, raising kids, and the realization that while we're busy managing schedules, camps, snacks, and sunscreen, our kids are simply remembering how summer felt. Maybe the magic was never in perfect summers. Maybe it was just being fully there for them. Questions Women Secretly Google at 2AM - With Dr. Sara DeNolf

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1780456/fan_mail/new] This week on Navigating Between the Lines, Maggie sits down with OB-GYN Dr. Sara DeNolf for the women’s health conversation that usually happens in group chats, late night Google searches, or quietly in our own heads. They get into pregnancy, miscarriage, fertility, postpartum recovery, painful periods, hormones, birth control, aging, and the pressure women constantly put on themselves to “do it all.” But beyond the medical side, this episode is really about normalizing the things women carry silently every day. It’s honest, funny, emotional, and full of the conversations more women need to hear out loud. Questions women secretly Google at 2am? Yeah… they covered those too.
