Vataha played for the Patriots in 6 of his 7 seasons in the NFL spanning from the 1971 season through the 1976 season. Marion spent all 10 of his seasons in the NFL in New England as a dominant force on defense. During his career, he racked up 29 interceptions, tied for third most on the franchise’s all-time leaderboard. In his most dominant season, 1985, Marion intercepted 7 passes for a league-leading 189 return yards, helping the Patriots to their first Super Bowl appearance and him to his only Pro Bowl appearance.
