This Started with College Stories

This week, the conversation starts with some of the funniest and most surprising college stories, but as usual, the conversation doesn't stay there for long. Talks about awkward work experiences, unpopular opinions on things everyone else seems to love, memorable concerts and music, sharing our favorite songs with our kids, and finish with a chaotic brainstorming game that might reveal just how big our age gap really is. Expect plenty of laughs, a few surprises, and absolutely no clear direction.

Ridiculous Sports Hypotheticals

Episode 11 starts with a story from school days and a football moment that was supposed to be a chance to shine... but ended a little differently than imagined. From there, things quickly turn into a sports-heavy conversation as ridiculous hypothetical sports questions are thrown into the mix, Iron Bowl rivalry talk, discussion about disappointing teams, and memories of going to games growing up. One game that involved a pretty questionable way of getting tickets. A Brainstorm game then proves that sometimes all it takes is a random idea to spark a surprisingly good conversation. It definitely was an unscripted and unprepared for conversation, but when you turn on a microphone, the plan usually doesn't matter anyway. In the end, great conversation and some laughs are definitely promised.

Accidents, Emotions & Sleep Talking

This week, a special guest steps up to the mic as Jacob's co-worker and friend of the show, Sandor, joins the conversation. The episode starts with a wild story about his son's recent car accident that somehow turns into something much funnier than you'd expect. From there, the discussion takes an unexpected turn into emotions, parenting, and how a certain animated movie changed the way Jacob talks to his son about feelings. Along the way, the conversation drifts into childhood fears, adult fears, and Jacob's unexpected and unscripted sleep talking. As always, one topic leads to another, proving once again that the best conversations are often the ones that don't stick to the script. Don't forget to stay around for the ending blooper.

We Were Not Expecting That

Episode 9 starts with an unexpected guard dog moment and a similar story from Hannah about being protected, which somehow leads into a conversation about all the people, situations, and things we completely judged wrong or that turned out nothing like we expected. Along the way, we spiral into talking about weird things people collect before finishing things off with chaotic would-you-rathers involving barking, ex’s tell-all podcasts, 2005 internet, reliving school, and hypothetically starting a cult. Basically… another completely normal episode - at least by or standards. Don't forget to stick around until the end for another embarrassing blooper.

This Was Supposed to Be About Vacations

Episode 8 starts with a mysterious smell… but it doesn’t stay there for long. What begins as a conversation about bad trips and weird travel experiences quickly spirals into stories about creepy encounters, ghost tours, lost phones, childhood memories around farms, and one couch discovery that should’ve never happened. Along the way, things are debated about everything from cruises and movie theaters to breakfast food and whether Sundays are actually worse than Mondays. One topic leads to another, and somehow it all makes sense in the moment. Maybe not so much in the blooper, stay around til the end for a blooper laugh. This was supposed to be about vacations.
