Beschreibung

This will be the last episode of Peak Lesbian. Thank you all for your support. I hope I gave something positive back to the community. I want to leave on a positive note and encourage women not to let disagreements stop them from being in spaces they belong in. In this episode, I sit down with Shanti and Morgan, a lesbian couple who have been active in SisterSpace, a women’s festival in Maryland for ten years. We discuss how they manage ideological differences with some of the women and the positive influence of this space on their lives. SisterSpace: https://sisterspace.org/overview/ This is a public episode. Episode Fighting For Lesbian Rights in New Zealand Cover

Fighting For Lesbian Rights in New Zealand

In this episode, I interview Marg Curnow of the lesbian organization, Lesbian Action for Visibility in Aotearoa (LAVA). In 2021, Hilary Oxley and Margaret Curnow, brought a claim to the New Zealand Human Rights Review Tribunal claiming discrimination against LAVA on the basis of LAVA’s political opinions.  I believe it's important to support our rights as lesbians, no matter what location in the world we might live. Thank you to Marg for her time and her dedication to protecting lesbian rights.  Support the case: https://www.lava.nz/our-case [https://www.lava.nz/our-case]  LAVA: https://www.lava.nz/ [https://www.lava.nz/our-case]  This is a public episode.
