Beschreibung

We've done a fair bit these last few months. And chatting on the podcast hasn't been one of them. So we sat down and pressed record. Half an hour of us rambling about what life has been looking like since the summer ended. We finished recording half an hour ago, no edits, completely raw. This is Phat Chats, hope you enjoy x

Ep 19: Flick Palmateer - Reality TV and Surfing the Worlds Biggest Waves

Today we are sitting down with a very special guest. Not only is she an internationally renowned surfer and surfing record holder. But also a State Champion, Pro Junior Champion and Australian Champion. Her performances in extra-large surf have pushed the boundaries of women’s big wave surfing. And if achieving the extraordinary in the water wasn’t enough, she has braced our TV screens and competed on Australian Survivor twice. She is also a powerful voice for spreading awareness around Dementia and has become an ambassador for Dementia Australia. Currently ranked world #2 on the big wave world tour, she was Redbull Magnitude’s Break though Performer for 2022/23 and in 2015 she became the first female ever to tackle the remote WA reef break, Cow Bombie. We couldn’t be more stoked to have this absolute legend on the podcast, so a big welcome to Felicity Palmateer, or as we all know her, Flick.
