On the road of life, we will encounter to potential guides: Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly. Both are calling out to us and inviting us to walk with them. Both of them will lead us to a destination based our decision. Lady Folly leads her followers to death but Lady Wisdom leads hers to life and peace. The writer of Proverbs calls God’s people to live skillfully in a world that often pushes us toward foolishness. Every day, we’re surrounded by competing voices, each claiming to offer the good life. But Proverbs cuts through the noise with a timeless truth: to live well in God’s world, we must live according to God’s ways. Wisdom begins with a posture of reverence, humility, and trust that shapes how we see everything else. The way of wisdom is the way of life, and it’s found in walking closely with the One who is Wisdom Himself: Jesus.
