This special summer bulletin of Prov Pod kicks off June by taking you across the Scottish Borders as the Province steps into festival season. Although summer is traditionally a quieter time for Freemasonry, our lodges and members are out and about - supporting town celebrations, joining agricultural shows and honouring the memory of notable Brethren. This episode offers a warm, bite sized way to get dates for the summer diary as well as insight into Freemasonry’s place in Borders life during the sunny months. The Cleikum Ceremonies

In this episode of Prov Pod we are in Innerleithen where each July Lodge St. Ronan's, a daughter lodge of The Provincial Grand Lodge of The Scottish Borders, plays an important part in the town's one of a kind Cleikum Ceremonies. Join host Stewart as he tells the story of St. Ronan's and five men who helped shape the Masonic ceremony - Freemasons Sir Walter Scott, James Hogg, George Hope Tait & Jimmy Mercer as well as Operative Master Mason Robert Mathison Esq. We also hear from 856's Almoner and Past Master Norman Donald as he reflects on the 2001 Masonic ceremony, where the centenary of the Cleikum was celebrated and he was in the Chair. With archive clips and a few funny moments along the way we hope you enjoy the story of this special event in our Province and invite any Mason of good standing to join us in Innerleithen on Friday 17 July at 9pm to take part.
