Terry Waite

Terry Waite is a man of a certain age, an age in the world. Those who were around in the 80's will never forget him. He was an envoy to the Church of England sent to the Lebanon to negotiate the release of hostages, including the journalist John McCarthy. Terry Waite was himself kidnapped and held from 1987 to 1991 He wrote Taken on Trust, a book about his experiences, and later became involved in humanitarian causes and charitable work.   In this interview I asked him about his experiences and his future.

Jesus Never Existed

This week I'm reminiscing my conversation with Ken Humphries the author of the book 'Jesus Never Existed' During our conversation he seems to claim the there is no historical fact attached to the human being we know as Jesus Christ. Putting the idea of a god to one side, Kens evidence or lack of it claims there just isn't any historical record outside of the bible. In fact most people of note throughout history can be chronicled through various writings, Jesus not so. Alan White Interview

Once I decided to resurrect the Gloria Swanson Fan Club in podcast form I knew I'd want to share so many unforgettable interviews. I never expected to hear within weeks that the legendary drummer Alan White had passed away. I was a huge YES fan for many years and so when I stumbled upon the chance to interview Alan I was blown away. Although the interview was recorded some years ago Alan passed away on 26th May 2022.
