Rasikananda Swami
In this class, Rasikananda Swami (affectionately known as Rasik Maharaja) explores the intimate workings of Yogamaya in Vrindavan, where Krishna and His eternal associates forget all awareness of divine majesty so they may fully relish the sweetness of loving relationships. Emphasizing the reality of each soul’s eternal spiritual identity and sthayi-bhava, Rasik Maharaja explains how liberated devotees may assume many forms in the Lord’s service while remaining rooted in their unique, everlasting relationship with Him. The heart of the class unfolds through a playful pastime described by Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura, in which young Krishna secretly hides inside a jeweled chest intended for Srimati Radharani, only to leap out before Her and the sakhis as the true “ornament” sent by Mother Yasoda. Through humor, philosophy, and affectionate descriptions of Radha and Krishna’s loving exchanges, the class reveals how Bhagavan accepts the devotee’s inner mood, how His happiness nourishes all beings, and how the highest spiritual reality is filled not with impersonal sameness, but with eternal individuality, play, intimacy, and ever-expanding rasa. This class was recorded in Burlington, Ontario on May 25, 2026.
