Let me know what you think! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2560116/fan_mail/new] Do you say, My anger is justified, so I can hold onto it. Are you holding onto something that hurt you deeply?  Do you replay it in your mind over and over? Today, I will share three tips about how God can set you free from anger. Today we will define what anger is and I will share three steps about how God you can be free from anger. Tip 1: What anger does. I can relate to your feelings of anger and resentment. Bitterness turns into anger –at first, anger feels like control. Bur in reality, anger increases emotional exhaustion. God explains in His word, “Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:20   Tip #2: Anger is a signal – not a solution. Anger, like bitterness, feels like protection…but it becomes a prison. The Bible says, “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” Eph. 4:26 Anger is a signal, not a solution. Tip #3: Bring your anger to God.  Confess to God – yes. It takes honesty.  1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  Repent to God – returning to God and confessing your sin, is admitting to God, Yes “I did it.” The act of repentance is the choice we can make to turn away from our sin. You can say, “Lord, I repent of my sin.” Repentance means a change of heart. We find in Psalm 51:10, a sample prayer. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”  Bring your angry heart, your hurting heart, honestly to God. This is not suppression – this is surrender.  Today’s unshakable truth: In Christ, you can be free from anger. I told God, “I give You my reaction before it becomes regret.”  I challenge you to use the three tips to invite God to heal your angry heart: Tip 1: What anger does. Refusing to release our anger and resentments increases tension and stress, depletes energy, causes isolation, and prevents old wounds from healing. God explains in His word, “Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:20   Step 2: Anger is a signal, not a solution. Burying your feelings is like leaving a trail of unexploded emotional dynamite. The Bible says, “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” Eph. 4:26 Step 3: Bring your anger honestly to God. Pause – Pray – Surrender – Confess – Repent - – Release . Instead of reacting, you return to God. Bring your angry heart, your hurting heart, honestly to God. This is not suppression – this is surrender. Friend, you don’t have to stay imprisoned by your anger. If today’s message spoke to your heart, take a moment right now to pause and pray:  “Lord, thank You for forgiving me of my sins. God, I give you my reaction before it becomes regret.” [i]  Thank you for joining me, I am excited to be part of your journey. I Am Bitter - Part 1 - How Hate Hurts Hearts

Let me know what you think! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2560116/fan_mail/new] Today, I will share three tips about how God heals a bitter heart.  Tip 1: Understand what bitterness is and what happens when you don’t let go of it. Bitterness is emotional pain that hardens over time. Heb. 12:15, “See to it…that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble.” We learned the hard way that bitterness doesn’t stay small- it spreads. Tip #2: Bitterness seems protective but soon traps you. Bitterness feels like protection…but it becomes a prison. God has offered us His son, Jesus Christ, as payment for our sins. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we are called to be merciful as our Heavenly Father is merciful. (Luke 6:36) Bitterness feels like protection…but it becomes a prison. Tip #3: Bring your hurt and bitterness honestly to God. This is so hard to do. It’s easier to stuff or run away from our feelings.  We can choose to forgive those who have offended or hurt us out of obedience to God. Luke 6:36 says, “and forgive others as we have been forgiven.” Step 1 for how to get rid of bitterness: Decide to forgive those who have hurt you.  Eph 3:12 God invites us to let Him renew us.  Step 2 for how to get rid of bitterness: Ask God to forgive you for any part you played in the offense. 1 John 1:9  Step 3 for how to get rid of bitterness: With God’s help, you can choose to forgive those who have hurt you. Forgiveness is God’s idea. Psalm 107:3 Bring your bitter heart, your hurting heart, honestly to God. This is not suppression – this is surrender.  Today’s unshakable truth: In Christ, you can be free from bitterness. It’s like praying “God, I give You what I cannot fix.” When we surrender, confess, repent, and repeat God works. Tip 1: Understand what bitterness is and what happens when you hold on to it. Bitterness doesn’t stay small – it spreads.Hebrews 12:15, “See to it…that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble.”  Tip 2: Bitterness seems protective but soon traps you. Bitterness feels like protection…but it becomes a prison. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we are called to be merciful as our Heavenly Father is merciful. (Luke 6:36) Tip 3: Bring your hurt and bitterness honestly to God. Surrender is the first step to healing.  Step 1: Decide to forgive those who have hurt you.  Step 2: Ask God to forgive you for any part you played in the offense. 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  Step 3: With God’s help, you can choose to forgive those who have hurt you. Friend, you don’t have to stay imprisoned by your bitterness. Pray, "Lord, thank you for forgiving me. I give you what I can't fix." Thank you for joining me, I am excited to be part of your journey. I Am Anxious - Part 1

Let me know what you think! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2560116/fan_mail/new] Are you worried? Are you overwhelmed by restless thoughts? Have you ever said, “I’ve always been a nervous person, I can’t change.” Today, I share three tips on exchanging your anxiety with God’s word, so you don’t need to worry at all. Tip #1 – Go to God’s Word for Help. Scripture gives wisdom to overcome anxiety as we open our hearts to restoration. Psalm 139:23, “Heavenly Father, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.[ii]” In Jesus’ name, amen Psalm 34:4, “I will seek “the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.[iii]”  Proven Way #2 – Refuse to Think About Things that Haven’t Happened. Projecting your thoughts into the future does you no good. God is the only one who knows the future.  Proven Way #3 – Remember to Thank God for His Provision. Anxiety and worry are rooted in fear, the remedy is thankfulness. Phil 4:6 and 7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.[xii]”  Thank God we can sing to Him. “I had the leaders of Judah go up on top of the wall. I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks.” Nehemiah 12:31 Thank God, we can praise Him. “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4  Thank God, we can praise Him for triumph over sin. “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57 Thank God, He guides us. “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.”  2 Corinthians 2:14 Thank God, we can thank Him in every circumstance. “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Remember God’s Word is your weapon to fight your anxiety. Proven Way #1. Go to God’s Word for Help. Praying scripture is effective. Heavenly Father, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.[xiii]” In Jesus’ name, amen  Proven Way #2. Refuse to Think About Things that Haven’t Happened. Psalm 94:19, “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” Proven Way #3. Remember to Thank God for His Provision Phil 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Print the Thank You Therapy list and speak it aloud every day this week. Let God’s truth change your worry to worship. You will be thankful and full of peace in His Son. Today, I share fear to faith scriptures to enable you to exchange your fears with God’s word. "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. " (Ps. 23:4) "The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?" (Ps. 27:1) "Be strong and courageous.
