Backrooms (2026) - exploring subliminal space

Directed by 20-year-old Kane Parsons in his feature-length debut, this psychological sci-fi horror expands upon his viral YouTube web series. The story follows Clark (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a furniture store owner who discovers a seemingly endless dimension of liminal spaces in his basement. Alongside his therapist Mary (Renate Reinsve), he descends into a labyrinth of unsettling, yellow-wallpapered rooms that defy reality.
