What should have been a routine journey becomes a long and exhausting struggle against wind and waves. Then, in the darkness of the fourth watch, Jesus comes to them walking on the water. This week we examine the harmonized account from John, Matthew, and Mark, exploring Peter's bold step of faith, the disciples' fear, and Christ's absolute authority over creation. Fear was not the disciples' deepest problem. Their fear revealed something deeper—a failure to fully recognize who Jesus is. The same danger confronts us today.
