Beschreibung

Week 3 — Foundation: Truth Builds Trust Trust doesn’t usually break in big moments — it fades in the small ones. In this week’s SaturDay Recap, we talk about how truth builds trust over time, especially in the father–son relationship. Rather than focusing on perfect words or big lessons, this conversation centers on consistency, follow-through, and the quiet ways our actions shape what our sons believe about us. We reflect on how honesty, listening, and humility create a foundation where trust can grow — and how repair matters when we miss it. This episode is an encouragement to show up, keep your word, and remember that trust is built in ordinary moments lived with integrity. This week’s readings: Psalm 113:4–10 · Proverbs 3:3–4 · Luke 16:10 · Ephesians 6:4 · James 1:19 Additional reflection and subscriber-only content available at tmbilly.com.

Episode #2 – Foundation: Obedience Builds Strength Cover

#2 – Foundation: Obedience Builds Strength

SaturDay Recap — Foundation #2: Obedience Builds Strength In this week’s SaturDay Recap, Billy and his 7-year-old son Isaac slow things down and talk about what comes after listening to God. Last week was about hearing. This week is about doing. Using James 1:22–25 (ESV) as the anchor, they reflect on how obedience isn’t about rules or perfection — it’s about building real strength through small, faithful choices. Isaac helps recap the passage in his own words, and together they connect Scripture to everyday life in a simple, honest way. They also share a quick update on the show — including hitting a few hundred views on the first episode, a brief copyright hiccup, and the launch of a new track made specifically for SaturDay Recap. This episode is part of Month One: Foundation, where Billy is intentionally discipling Isaac into manhood through weekly conversation, Scripture, and reflection. Quiet faith. Simple obedience. Strength built over time.

Episode #1 – Foundation: God Speaks Cover

#1 – Foundation: God Speaks

In this weeks SaturDay Recap [https://www.tmbilly.com/category/saturday-recap/], This week felt like the right place to start. Before we talk about habits or character or leadership, we wanted to slow down and ask a simpler question: who are we actually listening to? That’s what led us into #1 – Foundation: God Speaks. Over the course of the week, this was the thread running through our conversations — the idea that God isn’t distant or silent. From the very beginning of Scripture, in Genesis, we see that things move when God speaks. Light shows up. Order takes shape. Creation responds. Then we looked at how creation itself keeps echoing that voice, like Psalm 19 says, even when no words are spoken out loud. We also spent time in Hebrews and John, seeing how God didn’t stop speaking long ago, but ultimately spoke through Jesus — not just with instructions, but with presence. For us, this wasn’t about understanding everything. It was about recognizing that before a man learns how to lead, he has to learn how to listen. That posture matters. It shapes patience, humility, and trust — especially for a young boy watching what his dad pays attention to. This episode is really just a window into those moments — the questions, the pauses, the simple realizations. A reminder that strong foundations don’t start with action, but with attention. And sometimes the most important work is just learning to quiet everything else long enough to hear what’s already being said.
