Nearly every Christmas, we hear the familiar words from Handel’s Messiah: “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Yet, these words were not written by Handel, but instead by the ancient prophet Isaiah. A prophecy that foretold the coming of Jesus Christ as the bringer of peace. In this video we go over the announcement of the angels to the shepherds of "peace on earth," of the teachings of Jesus about peace at the Last Super, and how Jesus gave us true peace through his death on the cross and resurrection.
