Beschreibung

New Zealand ring announcer MC Mike sits down with Jason Davis on the ShedlifeNZ Podcast to talk about the journey from combat sports fan to one of the busiest MCs on the NZ fight scene. MC Mike wasn't always behind the mic. He grew up loving fighting, training in combat sports, and living the lifestyle from the inside. But somewhere along the way he realised his voice and his passion for the game could take him somewhere and he backed himself. Since 2023 he has announced nearly 100 fight nights across New Zealand, working his way up through King of the Ring and events all over the country, getting up close to some of the biggest names in the NZ fight game including Israel Adesanya, Carlos Ulberg, Lani Daniels, Titus Proctor and Francis Waitai. In this episode MC Mike and Jason talk through what it actually takes to build yourself in combat sports, the energy inside a fight arena, where the NZ fight scene is heading, and why MC Mike believes the biggest nights are still in front of him. He has put in the reps. He knows the fighters. And the big stage is next.
