It's been a couple of weeks,  but Stone County Extension Office is back at it providing educational information through our podcast.   This episode is an introduction to mediterranean cooking and better hay production.   Anna has been away training to teach Mediterranean Cooking and talks about what she learned.  Tyler talks about hay production and what factors effect hay quality.  Also testing your hay to help you make decisions on feeding to livestock.

Anna is out out of town this week, so Tyler reached out to a couple local farmers, Dustin & Tanner Caston.  They operate the fruit and vegetable operation on Caston Farms growing  blueberries, blackberries, elderberries, apples, vegetables & formerly peaches.  Also dabbling in raising dairy cows to produce raw milk.   They discuss how they got into agriculture and a little bit how they run their operation.

It's almost May, In this episode the Stone County Extension Office talks what all programs they've been doing and got coming up. Anna talks making strawberry freezer jam. Tyler tells how to grow strawberries and okra in your garden and how to take care of them.  Anna tells about the time she was at a photoshoot and a goat escaped.  Tyler talks about his failures at trying to conduct the annual horticulture demos.  How Ice breakers are awkward and stories about learning how to turkey hunt.
