Sussex Preservation Station
Episode 3. Chip Smith, formerly responsible for overseeing the Army Corps of Engineers and its key initiatives in environmental restoration and protection, as well as a current member of the Bethany Landowners Board, elaborates on the ways in which trees enhance life for us as individuals and how they make communities in Sussex more livable. He discusses ecosystems and also stresses the value of mature trees, which are lost whenever clearcutting takes place. Representing the flora and fauna of Sussex County, Delaware to help us all better understand and value how plants and animals contribute to the quality of life in our county.
