What started as a small community effort in 1974, led by the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club, has grown into a week-long event that draws more than 200,000 visitors to Columbia, Tennessee. Originally revived as a fundraiser for the community, Mule Day now generates an estimated $10 million economic impact for the region and stands as a testament to the power of local tradition and volunteer spirit. You will hear how a dedicated group of about 100 club members, along with a 40-person volunteer committee and countless community partners, continue to bring Mule Day to life each year.
