A Tree Is Only As Healthy As Its Weakest Branch

A tree is only as healthy as its weakest branch. Holding on to the hope that a dead branch will be fruitful is setting yourself up for disappointment. It’s time to create space for new things to grow. Meaning, we have to prune. We must be vigilant and responsible for the growth in our lives. Beautiful things cannot bloom if we do not make room for them. Isaiah 43 says to leave the old stuff behind and look up at the new, because it is coming your way!

The last fruit of the spirit in this series we are talking about is, gentleness. It invites those around us in. It creates a safe place and welcomes vulnerability. As we grow and mature and lean into the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, we get to watch as our lives begin to flourish with deeper connections and stronger relationships. Gentleness is a superpower.
