One of the deepest desires every human heart carries is the desire to belong. We all want to know: Do I matter? Am I wanted? Am I enough? So we spend our lives chasing acceptance through success, relationships, performance, popularity, and achievement. But no amount of approval from people can satisfy what only God can settle. "Does God really love me?" Maybe you asked that question after an unanswered prayer. After losing someone you loved. After another battle with sin. After life didn't unfold the way you hoped. Have you ever walked into a room knowing someone had your back? It changes the way you carry yourself. You stand taller. You speak with confidence. You don't panic as easily because you know you're not standing alone. Now multiply that infinitely. Romans 8:31 contains one of the most confidence-building questions in all of Scripture: "If God is for us, who is against us?" But Paul isn't expressing uncertainty. In the original Greek, this is a first-class conditional statement that could be translated, "Since God is for us..." He's not asking if God is on your side. He's declaring that He is.  That doesn't mean opposition disappears. Paul knew better than anyone that Christians face persecution, suffering, temptation, and spiritual warfare. His point isn't that you'll never have enemies. His point is that none of your enemies are greater than your God.
