Eleven time Bowman Gray Stadium Champion, Burt Myers comes from a long line of racers. His Grandfather and and Uncle, Billy and Bobby Myers were pioneers of NASCAR racing in the 40’s and 50’s. In the 70’s, his father, Gary raced in NASCAR’s Cup series, then known as Grand National. Now Burt is paving his own way into the history books with almost thirty track and touring series championships combined. He stopped by the show to talk to Derek about the early days in racing, what it takes to compete at Bowman Gray Stadium and grooming the next generation of Myers. He also tells the story of the up and down path that led him to winning truck series races with Richard Childress, a dream ride turning into a nightmare and going back to the short tracks to find his love for the sport again and his newly found love for driving tour-type modifieds.

Rogelio Lopez and Ruben Garcia Jr. are both champions of the NASCAR Mexico Series and two of the series’ winningest drivers. Both drivers came to the United States to move up the NASCAR ladder and both found victory lane in the ARCA Menards East Series. Now they have started RX2 Driver Development, helping and developing some of the newest crop of driving talent to come from Mexico and Latin America.
