Episode 61. Where to start when you don't know where to start Cover

Beschreibung

Last week, I found myself three weeks postpartum, soooo sick of scrolling, watching tv, listening to podcasts, reading.  I just couldn't consume another damn thing. I knew I needed to just create something.  But, I didn't know where to start. I realized as I was lying there, in my unmade bed, with the baby sleeping on my chest, the doggie snoring on my toes, that this was exactly where I needed to start. I needed to share what I do when I'm in that exact uncomfortable moment because, maybe, it'll be helpful for you too.  I have sooooooooo much to catch you up on. Like my wild AF birth story and what it taught me about when life (or business) does nooooooot go to plan. What motherhood is like so far & why I'm already working just one month in. How I'm navigating the transition into CEO-Mama land, rebuilding in real-time. The next evolution of my business & why I am so not afraid of AI taking my job. What my intuition is telling me about what's coming for the future of work But for now, enjoy this little podcast episode about where to start when you don't know where to start (and please forgive the sound quality, but frankly, I think it's perfect for the lesson I'm sharing <3)

Episode 63. I pressed publish...and then, CRINGE Cover

63. I pressed publish...and then, CRINGE

Last week, I published a podcast episode...and then immediately wanted to delete it. In this episode, I'm sharing why we're actually the worst judges of our own work (especially when we're out of the habit of creating), why we can't rely on something feeling "good enough" before we press publish, and the simple tool that's helped me through every pivot, transition and reinvention in my life: guiding principles. I share what "guiding principles" are, the exact ones I use to show up every day as I'm rebuilding my business after baby (especially when things are clunky, awkward, cringey, etc.), why I'm already working and chose to hire a part-time nanny just five weeks postpartum and a little behind-the-scenes of my life as a mama-CEO that you'll never see on IG :) Finally, if you're in one of those seasons where you've outgrown your work (your business or job), but don't know where you want to go next, I'm offering something new: They're called Crossroads Sessions: potent, single-session coaching calls to help you quickly untangle the mess in your head, get clear on what you actually want and leave knowing your next right step. Email emily@emilyelizamoyer.com or shoot me a DM on IG (@emilyelizamoyer) with "crossroads" to learn more.

Episode 60. The Art of the Pivot with Kacia Ghetmiri Cover

60. The Art of the Pivot with Kacia Ghetmiri

It doesn't matter how many times you've made a pivot in life, when you are craving making a big change, it will ROCK your world. This is why, for months now, I've been bringing women onto this podcast to talk about their pivots, transitions and seasons of big change. Who better to learn from than women who have gone before? In this episode, I’m joined by Kacia Ghetmiri: ex-Googler, top podcast host of empowerHER (we're talking .5% podcast here with 13+ MILLION downloads), turned million-dollar coach and now, recently pregnant with her 2nd baby, has started a brand-new career as a real estate agent. Speaking with Kacia felt like catching up with an old girlfriend who was just here to drop some wisdom.    She shared her thoughts on:   * how she knows when it's time to pivot * navigating next steps in your career change when nothing feels clear * how ambition and career identity changes through motherhood * and she even gave us a mini-course on growing & monetizing a podcast (I took many many notes)!!!  We also get into building a business as a mother, trusting the future version of yourself, and Kacia took us through her whole journey from coaching and podcasting into real estate. Episode 59. How Do You Choose: Human Design for Business, Motherhood & Big Transitions with Erin Claire Jones Cover

59. How Do You Choose: Human Design for Business, Motherhood & Big Transitions with Erin Claire Jones

Human Design has been one of the most grounding personal development tools in my life, especially in seasons where everything feels unknown (oh heyyyyy 36 weeks pregnant mid-biz transition!). In this episode, I'm joined by THE Erin Claire Jones (human design expert, founder of Human Design Blueprint and author of How Do You Choose?) for a conversation on human design, business pivots, motherhood and how to navigate the in-between seasons when the next chapter hasn't fully revealed itself yet. Whether you're just getting introduced to human design or you're an advanced practitioner, you'll love this episode because Erin has such a beautiful way of making this tool actionable in our lives, making it relevant for whatever we're experiencing in the moment. We talk about what it really looks like to use human design in real life, as a framework for making "f*ck yes" decisions, honoring your unique energy especially when you feel "different" from everyone else and trusting your path, even as you shift identities (like becoming a mama). We also cover: - How each type (Projectors, Manifestors, Manifesting Generators, Generators and Reflectors) can actually use human design to help them make career pivots and business decisions to build a work life we love & feels successful to us - How to use your human design authority--aka the way you uniquely make decisions--(you can find this in your chart!) to get specific guidance on your 'next step' even if you feel like you have no idea what direction you're going on (or even if you do but want to make sure what you're choosing is actually right for you) -Erin's unique & beautiful perspective on motherhood through the lens of human design (including support, rest and honoring your energy as a parent) Erin Claire Jones is one of the world’s leading experts in Human Design. Through her coaching, content, and digital products, she has empowered hundreds of thousands of people to overcome their biggest obstacles and find their flow at work, in love, and in life. Her personalized guides have been purchased by customers in over 160 countries.
