TGN EP. 36 | Sebastian Junger: Reports Instructed on Saving Colleagues

It is our pleasure to bring you our interview with author and documentarian Sebastian Junger. Sebastian is known for his work on the documentary Restrepo, or from his books: The Perfect Storm, War, Fire and Tribe. Sebastian has been an embedded journalist in Afghanistan pre 9/11, on 9/11 and now post 9/11. It is this unique perspective on hardship, battle and comradery that has influenced his work with film and his writing. Time and time again Sebastian has put himself into harms way to share the story of those who are living it. Sebastian now works on his passion project- Reports Instructed on Saving Colleagues (RISC): focusing on teaching combat first aid to reporters and providing first kits. He was moved to help after his colleague and friend Tim Heatherington was killed from a wound sustained while reporting in Libya.
