Giovanni Santalucia is a freshman at Haverford College. Gio and I discuss the function of government amidst COVID 19, culture's role in mitigating the spread, what we miss about Haverford and celebrity elitism, among other topics. Unfortunately (or fortunately; depends on preference), Gio does not have social media, but on a "normal" (emphasis on normal) day you can catch him roaming the streets of Astoria or traversing the paths Haverford College.

COVID Chronicles: Assistant Professor of Economics Carola Binder

Carola Binder is an  Assistant Professor of Economics at Haverford College since 2015 with a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley. Her research focuses on expectations, perceptions, inflation, monetary policy, and central bank communication. She is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Money, Credit and Baking and a member of the CEPR Research and Policy Network on Central Bank Communication. In our conversation, we discussed her paper, Coronavirus Fears and Macroeconomic Expectations, as well as the economic predicament we find ourselves in, and what the future holds from an economic perspective. Part 2: David Harrower and his work at Haverford College

David Harrower is the Assistant Director of Facilities Management here at Haverford. David's job primarily consists of overseeing the maintenance of the college's buildings and developing ideas for new buildings and renovations. David's most notable projects include the construction of VCAM, the Library, and the soon to be renovated Marshall Auditorium.  Stay safe everyone. I miss you all.
