The Heights Belmont Weekly Services
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools available to believers, yet it is often reduced to routine or religious habit. Praying in the Spirit, as Paul describes in Ephesians 6:18, means allowing the Holy Spirit to direct, shape, and empower our prayers rather than relying on our own words and thoughts. The Holy Spirit intercedes within us, bringing to mind the very things we need to pray and aligning our requests with God's will. Intercessory prayer, lifting up others before God, is one of the most neglected yet spiritually significant forms of prayer in the church today. Prayer is not separate from the armor of God but is the very atmosphere in which that armor is worn and used. When believers commit to consistent, passionate, and strategic prayer, bondages are broken, courage rises, and the Gospel advances. The early church devoted themselves to prayer, and the power of God fell in remarkable ways as a result. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer not to take up space, but to empower a prayer life that truly moves heaven. Love God. Love Others. Live It Out
