The Durst family is known as a real estate empire.  They are the spokes person for the mantra that if you "buy in real estate and hold it" you will be alright.  The family has a net worth of 8.1 billion dollars. They own about 21 properties in NYC they own and manage 8.5 million square feet of property in Manhattan.  Robert seemed to have gotten away with more than one "coincidental" murder close to him for years.  Eventually these things do come back to bite him.  Listen in to learn just how creepy and mysterious Robert Durst was and how his luck took a turn for the worst and he was finally found guilty of most of the crimes he committed.  Stay tuned for more episodes coming soon!

On the very first episode of The Mat & Sara Show, hosts Mat Macdonald (Senior Loan Officer at Premier Mortgage Lending) and Sara Petruzzelli (Local Real Estate Agent) dive into the popular murder of Beverly Carter.  Beverly was murdered by Aaron Lewis on September 26th 2014, she showed up for a private showing and had no idea what would happen next.  Aarons motive is stated as being because "she was a rich real estate agent" and the original plan was to hold her for ransom.  As we can tell, that plan went off track and they ended up sophisticated beverly to death.
