As clear of an indication that Canadians could get – former central banker and consultant Mark Carney is planning to enter the Liberal leadership race to become Canada’s next prime minister. Strangely, Carney chose the American Daily Show platform as his campaign launch site and not a Canadian media platform. But Carney wil have to compete with Chrystia Freeland for the top job, setting the stage for a very interesting few months ahead. It was more an “intention to resign” announcement to Canadians. That was quickly followed by a threat to annex Canada through “economic force” from incoming U.S. president-elect Donald Trump and renewed taunts by Trump towards Justin Trudeau. All of this now forms the backdrop for a Liberal party leadership race that will likely result in the winner becoming Canada’s next prime minister. From CTV News purposely doctoring footage of Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre to the underreported story of the dozens of churches in Canada that have been burned down, the legacy media has truly done a disservice to Canadians. Will Trudeau make it to the next election?

Things keep getting worse for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Chrystia Freeland resigned, the Liberals suffered another embarrassing byelection defeat, and a growing list of Liberal MPs are calling for Trudeau to step down. Will he make it to the next election at this rate? Who would take his place? As most Canadians know, Jagmeet Singh and the NDP hold the balance of power in the House of Commons, and an election is dependent on them voting non-confidence.
