Rebels to Worshipers

Parkside Heights’ location in Cleveland means that people from nations all over the world come to live, study, and work nearby. In light of the church’s desire to participate in international missions, Dan overviewed God’s desire to reach us scattered rebels from the beginning in Genesis 11 to the fulfillment of that mission with the gathered worshippers in Revelations 7:9-11. Luke 5.1-11

Guest speaker Cameron Cronk from Parkside Church opened the word to Luke 5:1-11 where he highlighted the story of Peter obediently listening to and humbly following Christ. He showed how Christ moves closer to us and gives us a new calling, and we must be willing to leave everything behind to be one step closer to Him. June 21, 2026

A Body at Work

Romans 12:3-8 emphasizes that the Church is like the human body: we have a vital, organic connection to Christ as ‘the head’ and to our fellow Christians as other members of that same body. And within that body, each Christian has a gift, given to them by God, designed with consideration for the Church’s mutual connection, support, and strengthening.

For the Rich

In the conclusion of 1 Timothy, Paul provides wealthy Christians with additional instructions in verses 6:17-19: they are to avoid haughtiness through their acknowledgement that their wealth is a gift from God and they are to generously share that gift as a unique type of ministry. Paul ends the letter in verses 20-21 with a reminder that we must guard the Gospel and faithfully pass it along to the next generation.June 7, 2026

Living for the Invisible God

1 Timothy 6:11-16 overviews five commands Paul gives Christians. We are to flee from the dangers of sin and to pursue what is godly instead through chasing after Christ. We also must fight against false doctrine, take hold of and enjoy the wonderful gifts God gives in this life, and keep His commands.May 31, 2026
